PEOI, a provider of online university level courses free of charge in seven languages with students in 121 countries, is seeking to meet disadvantaged students' urgent need to learn English by offering an English as Second Language (ESL) program. Five ESL levels are planned. Volunteer authors are offered to work in teams to create the various learning opportunities on PEOI. The text of ESL level 1 course is now completed, and ESL01EN has about 4,000 word recognition questions. About 10,000 more advanced test questions must be added to ESL01EN, and creating these questions requires advanced computer skills.
